A note on our purpose: Sponteers© is intended to help people who genuinely cannot afford to hire professional services for a task. It is not meant to compete with, or take business away from, the tradespeople, caregivers, and other professionals who make their living providing these services. We ask all Sponteers to keep this spirit of goodwill in mind.

1. No Liability. Sponteers© is a free community platform. Sponteers Inc. is not responsible for any injury, loss, damage, or harm arising from interactions arranged through this platform.

2. Voluntary Participation. All help offered is entirely voluntary. No compensation is expected or implied. You are not an employee or contractor of Sponteers Inc.

3. Your Safety Matters. Use good judgment. If possible, have a video call (FaceTime/WhatsApp) before meeting anyone. Tell someone where you are going. Trust your instincts — you may back out of any interaction at any time, for any reason.

4. Accurate Information. You agree to provide honest, accurate information about your skills, abilities, and availability.

5. Privacy. Your first name, photo (if provided), general area, skills, and bio may be shown to matched individuals. Your email is never shared directly.

6. Right to Decline. You may decline any request, for any reason, at any time, with no obligation to explain.

7. Community Standards. You agree not to use this platform for commercial, inappropriate, or harmful purposes.

Our Story

Why Sponteers© Exists

Many people — especially after retirement — find themselves with time, skills, and a genuine desire to help others. But traditional volunteering often asks for regular, scheduled commitments: every Tuesday, every month, every season. Life doesn't always fit that mold.

At the same time, people in need often struggle to find help for small but necessary tasks — help with a leaky faucet, someone to shovel the walk, a hand with paperwork. Tasks too small for a formal service, too big to manage alone.

Sponteers© was built to bridge that gap. It's a community matchmaker for one-time, spontaneous acts of goodwill. No red tape. No long-term contracts. Just people helping people.
